Welcome to Stanwood!
I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year and am thrilled to be a part of the Stanwood community. This will be my fifth year with the Hempfield Area School District and at Stanwood. I can truly say that our school really is "Someplace Special". Our wonderful staff works hard to ensure that all students reach their potential and are included in a safe and nurturing environment. This year, we will be in our fifth year of implementation for School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. We will be working to teach and reinforce our school wide expectations, “Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe” in all areas of the building. Last year, we were recognized by the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Network for our support for all students. Be on the lookout for your child to be recognized with a “Stanwood Star”! I know we are going to have a GREAT school year together. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns, or just to say “hello”.
