Educational Field Trip
Students that will miss school due to a trip must complete an Educational Field Trip form 2 weeks prior to the trip. These may be obtained in the school office.
Parents must complete the form including the destination, length of trip, reason the trip could not be taken during a non-school day and educational rationale.
Hempfield Area School District allows 5 school days to be missed for educational field trips, any additional days will be charged as unexcused absences. If a student has 3 or more unexcused absences during the school year, the Home & School Visitor can file charges with the Magistrate.
Following Principal approval, the parents will receive a copy of the approved form for their records.
